STRDR is a running-cadence app. We built it to help you train — not to harvest your data. The short version: almost everything stays on your phone.
Anonymous usage analytics. We use PostHog to collect anonymous, aggregate usage data — which screens and features you use, and workout events (type, duration, average cadence). This is tied only to a random, app-generated ID, never to your name, email, or any account. It helps us fix bugs and decide what to build. It is not sold and not used for advertising. You can opt out in the app.
Spotify (optional). If you connect Spotify, we use Spotify's authorization to read your top and saved tracks and their tempo (BPM) to match songs to your cadence. To look up a song's tempo we send the Spotify track identifier (not you, not your account) to ReccoBeats, a music-data service. We don't store your Spotify library on a server. Disconnect anytime in the app or your Spotify settings. Your use of Spotify is also governed by Spotify's privacy policy.
Waitlist email (website only). If you sign up on our website, we collect your email (via Formspree) solely to notify you about launch and updates. We don't sell it; unsubscribe anytime.
Your profile, workouts, and location processing happen on your device. Anonymous analytics are handled by PostHog; waitlist emails by Formspree. Data sent to those services and to Spotify/ReccoBeats is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
STRDR is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
We may update this policy; we'll post the new date here and, for material changes, notify you.
